Chair of Governor’s Welcome

As Chair of Governors I feel hugely privileged to champion and support the efforts of the whole community involved in the children’s learning at Welford and Wickham School.

We may be a small school but we are mighty! We offer an excellent education and curriculum experience, a level of pastoral care that is second-to-none and enrichment programmes like Scouting really do set us apart.

We know that our children love coming to school and feel happy and safe when they’re in our care’ And we know that parents which visit our schools love what they see. But don’t just take my word for it – there is no substitute for walking round with our lovely children who will show you all that the school has to offer.

As a Board of Governors we’re fully committed to the ongoing development and improvement of all aspects of the school. Our vision is that every child will experience a rich, aspirational curriculum that stimulates their curiosity, broadens their perceptions of the world and creates a thirst for learning. They will be respectful, kind and responsible individuals who try their best through challenge and perseverance. This is underpinned by our strong Christian values of love and mutual respect.
